Lundbeck and 2011: a real kill

Lundbeck 35

As 2011 is now over, it’s time to celebrate Lundbeck‘s killing spree!

How did a European pharmaceutical laboratory break the worst possible record in just 12 months in clear violation of European human rights standards?

Evidently by sitting on a deadly question for months on end, hoping the problem would simply go away. Guess what? It didn’t disappear, in fact 35 people were murdered in the United-States because of its criminal negligence.

Just in case the death lab already forgot about its tragic attitude, feel free to forward them the list of their dead patients:

Although the killing lab continues to claim its opposition to the use of pentobarbital in human executions in the US, and while it unnecessarily took Lundbeck more than 6 months to act according to its “strong opposition”, numerous states were able to purchase and stockpile supplies before the new distribution system was implemented. The new stock has a lifespan that will most likely enable executions to continue at the same pace in 2012.

To add insult to (deadly) injury, the European Union also took close to 8 months to finally approve new restrictions on the sale of lethal injection drugs. Months to decide on restrictions rather than a ban?

While the European Union was very aware of Lundbeck’s sales to US departments of corrections, it certainly failed to block such sales or to use legal means to sanction the death lab.

2011, a year in killing for the families of the 35 men executed because of European criminal negligence.

Let’s hope that in 2012 the European Union will finally stop hiding behind moralizing public statements but instead actually take the appropriate, necessary and urgent measures to stop the United-States from using such a barbaric punishment; a country that, once again, ends the year in the top five countries of shame on this planet. The five serial killers of this world.

Well done to Lundbeck, the death lab, it clearly reached an unprecedented accomplishment for a pharmaceutical lab “dedicated to saving lives”!

About The Pentobarbital Experiment

"Lundbeck is a global pharmaceutical company engaged in the research and development, production, marketing and sale of drugs for treatment of psychiatric and neurological disorders." As the sole supplier of Pentobarbital to US departments of corrections, Danish company Lundbeck took an active and dedicated part in the executions of human beings. This is a clear violation of its ethical obligations as a European pharmaceutical laboratory. Its manufacturing plant for Pentobarbital is based in Kansas, USA. Here is the full story: the facts and the numbers brought to you by European activists dedicated to the universal abolition of the death penalty. Disclaimer: This blog was created to raise awareness and to encourage legitimate citizen actions to bring an end to the torturous executions in the USA. It does not, and never did advocate violence or retaliation against whoever participates in the legal lynchings of human beings. View all posts by The Pentobarbital Experiment
