Lundbeck‘s Pentobarbital kills its 44th patient in Oklahoma on March 15th, 2012

Timothy Stemple was killed by the State of Oklahoma at the state prison in McAlester. He was accused of killing his wife for insurance money. He always maintained his innocence, and this was supported by a forensic expert who stated that his wife’s death was consistent with an accident and that no signs of beating were found on her body.

He gasped for about 20 seconds, his eyes opened and he groaned. He then laid still with closed eyes and his face turned pale. He was pronounced dead at 6:11 p.m. He was 46 years old.

Thanks to Lundbeck, the state of Oklahoma has three more doses of Pentobarbital left.

Lundbeck & Co are now responsible for 44 out of the 53 executions carried out so far in the United States since December 2010, when Lundbeck stepped in the business of death.

5 new patients await the infamous trio’s treatment in March 2012:

Briley Piper – South Dakota – March 18, 2012
Larry Puckett – Mississippi – March 20, 2012
William Mitchell – Mississippi – March 22, 2012
Jesse Hernandez – Texas – March 28, 2012
Tommy Arthur – Alabama – March 29, 2012

About The Pentobarbital Experiment

"Lundbeck is a global pharmaceutical company engaged in the research and development, production, marketing and sale of drugs for treatment of psychiatric and neurological disorders." As the sole supplier of Pentobarbital to US departments of corrections, Danish company Lundbeck took an active and dedicated part in the executions of human beings. This is a clear violation of its ethical obligations as a European pharmaceutical laboratory. Its manufacturing plant for Pentobarbital is based in Kansas, USA. Here is the full story: the facts and the numbers brought to you by European activists dedicated to the universal abolition of the death penalty. Disclaimer: This blog was created to raise awareness and to encourage legitimate citizen actions to bring an end to the torturous executions in the USA. It does not, and never did advocate violence or retaliation against whoever participates in the legal lynchings of human beings. View all posts by The Pentobarbital Experiment

    So sad.

I thought Lundbeck HAS STOPPED the use of their drug for executions – ? I understand that they were slow and could have prevented all these killings if they had acted earlier – but what can they do NOW since they are still on your poster as the responsible? Am I wrong to think its positive that Lundbecks actions now are supportive of our goal? Was there something about Lundbeck selling the right for this drug to another company- sorry I can’t find updates on this – do you have a link to an update or where to find these info?

Can I hope that now USA runs out of drugs for killing ..or are they starting to prodcuce and find them other places? I coundn’t find much news about this…is there any?

Thanks for your work – for life, respect, humanity.

Hi again! Thank you for your reply. I have read the articles you mention now. I think that I just look at it more optimistic than you sound -to me what you have archieved appears a giant step on the way to abosh d.p. – Yes, of course to late and to slow – yet as I see it for the first time this subject is really pushed forward, into awareness – and companies and politicians have to face it and can’t ignore. Thats a positive to focus on. Thanks for your engagement!!!
