Lundbeck’s April Fool’s joke has arrived!

April 1, 2012 - Lundbeck's April's Fools

It is hard to imagine that a death lab would have such a sense of humor considering its killing milestone that continues to grow.

On March 29th, Lundbeck issued a press release entitled: “Lundbeck awarded for ethical leadership in the pharmaceutical industry”, ha/ha!! Guys you made our days, and laughing is the best medication against depression.

Does Lundbeck seriously believe it can buy itself a conscience in the world of pharmaceutical, while continuing to fill its closet with the corpses of its dead patients? 47 killings to this day in the United-States, because Lundbeck took 6 months to implement a restricted distribution system for the pentobarbital until it was forced to do so as its shareholders began to ask questions and sell their shares, until the persisting efforts of Reprieve UK bore their fruits and now we are supposed to honor and thank the death lab? We don’t think so! Lundbeck can sell its soul to whoever it wants, its true face remains the one of a death laboratory.

Lundbeck’s attitude and negligence allowed numerous states to purchase pentobarbital. It is precisely these purchases that are responsible for the ongoing and current state killings in the US. Lundbeck’s ghosts will follow the death lab for many years to come and its dead patients will not be forgotten.

The death lab is the shame of the pharmaceutical profession. No matter what it attempts to cover its past deeds, they will resurface. In fact the state of Texas, via TDCJ, appears to have bought $50,000 in execution drug last year. Thanks to Lundbeck’s negligence, many more will die at the hands of the executioners.

Feel free to award Lundbeck the best April’s Fools’ joke of 2012 and to also underline what it has absolutely failed to implement in terms of ethical standards.

The pharmaceutical industry is walking on its head, it’s time to wake up!

About The Pentobarbital Experiment

"Lundbeck is a global pharmaceutical company engaged in the research and development, production, marketing and sale of drugs for treatment of psychiatric and neurological disorders." As the sole supplier of Pentobarbital to US departments of corrections, Danish company Lundbeck took an active and dedicated part in the executions of human beings. This is a clear violation of its ethical obligations as a European pharmaceutical laboratory. Its manufacturing plant for Pentobarbital is based in Kansas, USA. Here is the full story: the facts and the numbers brought to you by European activists dedicated to the universal abolition of the death penalty. Disclaimer: This blog was created to raise awareness and to encourage legitimate citizen actions to bring an end to the torturous executions in the USA. It does not, and never did advocate violence or retaliation against whoever participates in the legal lynchings of human beings. View all posts by The Pentobarbital Experiment
