The deadly experiment goes on…
…as does the race to kill as many as possible within the legal framework. That’s precisely what the death penalty is in the USA today; a mad experiment that serves nothing but a sick political agenda. Does it help victims? Nope! Does it deter crime? Nope! Does it contribute to the evolving standard of decency? Nope! Does it cause pain and trauma? Yep! Does it cost a lot of money? Yep!
Somewhere along the line, it is assumed, in “civilized” nations, that a criminal justice system aims to improve social peace and not stir hatred and vengeance. Evidently, that’s another issue the USA has spectacularly failed at.
So now that the serial killer state, Texas, is running out of lethal drugs – or rather hasn’t used its stock before its expiration date – what is going to happen? In May 2012, the state purchased 46 doses of 2,5 grams of Pentobarbital, (thanks to the killing lab, Lundbeck, which sat on the issue for more than six months before implementing a controlled distribution for its drugs in the US), each execution requiring 5 grams of the said drug. Then what now? Compounding pharmacies, the best dealers in town, where anyone can purchase about anything outside of the FDA’s oversight? What is it going to be be? Propofol? Sulfuric acid? Phenobarbital? Your guess is as good as ours for that matter.
The actual killers are “democratically” elected, they kill in your name and the blood is on your hands too if you’re a US citizen. Do you really want to see between 3 to 5 million dollars (from capital trial to execution in Texas) to be spent to kill, when $800,000 would cover the costs for a life sentence without parole in the same state? Texas ranks close to last on major issues such as education and healthcare. Those who vote are as responsible as those who are picked as jurors in capital trials, never forget that your silence contributes to the legal lynching.
It’s time to wake up! Otherwise, we might well see the return of the electric chair, the gas chamber, or other medieval methods of executions in the land of the free and home of the braves!
Sincerely outraged,
PentobarbitalX

We continue to spend untold millions to mollify a misinformed minority, who refuse to believe that victims and their families only have a right to justice, not vengeance. Murder is murder, and the most cold-blooded murders of all are executions.
