Richard Bible was put to death by injection at the state prison in Florence after state and federal courts turned down his appeals. After more than two decades on death row, the 49-year-old always claimed his innocence. Richard Bible had said that he can’t prove himself innocent because he didn’t get a fair trial.

Lundbeck‘s Pentobarbital kills its 17th patient in Georgia on June 23, 2011.

Roy Willard Blankenship was put to death by injection at the state prison in Jackson after state and federal courts turned down his appeals. The 56-year-old was pronounced dead at 8:37 p.m. He grimaced throughout the procedure. While Dr. Carlo Musso participated in the execution, a complaint against him has been filed for illegally importing sodium thiopental from overseas and for later selling doses to officials in Tennessee and Kentucky.
